7 Dazzling Christmas lights

geelong christmas tree - night time

Can you tell I’m excited about Christmas? Though I’ve managed to contain myself to a mere three Christmas blogs in October – such self-restraint!

Today is Halloween so really I should be excited about that. And I am! But that excitement is also combined with the fear of knowing that my kids will ask me to accompany them trick or treating tonight. As a slight introvert, this is one of my worst nightmares – the kids walking up to someone’s front door and brazenly demanding lollies while I cower sheepishly in the background with an apologetic smile pasted on my face.

So to distract myself from the task at hand tonight, I am trawling around the world (wide web) for the most bold, beautiful and downright blinding Christmas displays. Here are some of my favourites.

Floating Christmas Tree, Geelong, Australia

The blog is incomplete without a mention to this hometown honey. Set on the beautiful Corio Bay, this Floating Christmas Tree provides a stunning array of changing colours which can be controlled by the press of a button.

The best part? It’s just down the road from me. So when this baby lights up in the next few weeks, you can bet I’ll be there with bells and whistles on, fighting off small children and pressing buttons.
